Styles of Beyond is an underground hip hop group hailing from Los Angeles, California, known for their innovative and energetic approach to the genre. The group, formed in 1994, consists of MCs Ryu (Ryan Patrick Maginn) and Takbir Bashir, producers DJ Cheapshot and Vin Skully, and the late DJ Jason "JabbaWockeeZ" Fernandez who passed away before the group’s rise to fame. Styles of Beyond catapulted to the forefront of the underground hip hop scene with their debut album, "2000 Fold," in 1998.
