Tompall & The Glaser Brothers

Tompall & The Glaser Brothers were a country music trio made up of siblings Tompall, Chuck, and Jim Glaser. Rising to prominence in the 1960s, the group became known for their smooth harmonies and storytelling songs that captured the spirit of traditional and progressive country alike. They were closely associated with the “outlaw country” movement, and Tompall Glaser in particular was a key figure in that scene, known for his collaborations with artists like Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.

Originally from Nebraska, the Glaser Brothers got their big break after winning an Arthur Godfrey talent contest, which led to a recording contract and a move to Nashville. Over the years, they released a number of hits, both as a group and individually. Tracks like “Rings” and “Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I’ll Ever Do Again)” helped cement their legacy in country music. Though they had periods of disbandment, reunions, and solo ventures, their influence on country—both mainstream and outlaw—remains significant.
