**Buddhadev Das Gupta** was a legendary Indian classical sarod maestro whose soulful playing left an indelible mark on Hindustani music. Born in 1933 in Bhagalpur, Bihar, he became one of the foremost exponents of the sarod, blending technical brilliance with deep emotional expression.
