Paul Weston

Paul Weston was a talented American pianist, arranger, and bandleader who made a big splash in the music world during the mid-20th century. Born in 1912, Weston became known for his work in easy listening and mood music, helping to pioneer and popularize the genre. He worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Jo Stafford, whom he later married.

Weston's career really took off in the 1940s and 1950s when he became music director for Capitol Records. He released a bunch of successful mood music albums and even won a Grammy for his arrangement of "Crescent Noon" in 1971. Known for his lush orchestrations and smooth sound, Weston continued to influence the world of easy listening music until his passing in 1996.
