Selah

Selah is a contemporary Christian vocal trio that has garnered acclaim and a dedicated following with their soul-stirring renditions of traditional hymns, contemporary Christian compositions, and original songs. The group, whose name is derived from the Hebrew word used in the Psalms, often interpreted as a directive to pause and reflect, was formed in 1997. Its founding members included Todd Smith, Allan Hall, and Nicol Smith, who was later replaced by Melodie Crittenden, and subsequently by Amy Perry. Throughout their career, Selah has been celebrated for the poignant harmonies and emotive performances that resonate with believers around the world.

Their discography includes a rich collection of albums that frequently explores the timeless themes of faith, worship, and gratitude. Over the years, they have received numerous Dove Awards, reflecting their impact on Christian music. The trio continues to demonstrate their versatility through a variety of musical styles, from classic hymns to gospel and inspirational pop. As evidenced by their recent releases like "At This Table: A Christmas Album" and "Greatest Hymns, Vol. 3," Selah's music provides a spiritual solace and reinforces the power of worship music to connect listeners to the divine. Their approach to creating music not only preserves the sacred tradition of hymns but also brings a contemporary touch that makes the ancient messages accessible to a modern audience.
