Ensemble Dal Niente

Ensemble Dal Niente is a Chicago-based contemporary music collective known for its daring and dynamic approach to new music. Founded in 2005, the ensemble is committed to performing and promoting works by living composers, often pushing the boundaries between contemporary classical, experimental, and avant-garde music. They've built a reputation for championing underrepresented voices and experimental works, performing at major festivals like Darmstadt Summer Courses and collaborating with composers such as George Lewis, Enno Poppe, and Marcos Balter. Their discography showcases an adventurous spirit, including projects like Balter/Saunier (a genre-bending collaboration with Deerhoof drummer Greg Saunier) and recordings of pieces by up-and-coming as well as established composers.
