Buckwild

**Buckwild**, real name Anthony Best (born March 20, 1968), is a Bronx-born hip-hop legend who's been shaping beats since the early '90s as a self-taught DJ turned producer from the D.I.T.C. crew. Starting out mixing tapes that flew off the shelves in NYC, he leveled up under mentors like Lord Finesse and Diamond D, dropping his first big production on "Shit Is Real" in '93 with Sadat X, then crafting O.C.'s timeless "Time's Up." His remixes for acts like Funk Doobiest, Artifacts, and Busta Rhymes had everyone buzzing, and by '95, artists were begging for that "Buckwild Remix" stamp on their singles.

He kept the heat coming with classics for underground faves like Mic Geronimo, Organized Konfusion, and Capone-N-Noreaga, then hit the majors—think Notorious B.I.G.'s "Story To Tell" on *Life After Death*, Jay-Z, Kool G. Rap, Big Pun, and that monster 2000 hit "Whoa!" for Black Rob, which went platinum and landed him on The Source's Producers of the Year list plus P. Diddy's Hitmen squad. Buckwild's stayed active, dropping collabs like *Nineteen Ninety Now* with Celph Titled (2010), *Silk Pyramids* with Meyhem Lauren (2014), *No Expiration Date* with Artifacts (2022), and fresh ones like *Paint The World Black* with Saigon (2025).
