Ailish Tynan is an Irish operatic soprano born in Mullingar, Ireland, in 1975. She trained at Trinity College Dublin, the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her career highlights include winning the RTÉ Millennium Singer of the Year in 2000 and the Rosenblatt Recital Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World in 2003. Tynan has performed internationally, singing in productions like *The Marriage of Figaro*, *Der Rosenkavalier*, and *Albert Herring*. She is also known for her work with British composer Judith Weir, performing in several of her works, including *Natural History* and *The Welcome Arrival of Rain*. Tynan frequently gives recitals, often accompanied by renowned pianists, and has appeared at numerous cultural festivals.
