Ryota Komatsu is a renowned Japanese bandoneon player and composer, born in Tokyo in 1973. He has had a distinguished career, celebrating his 20th anniversary in music in 2018. Komatsu has performed with legendary tango maestros such as Leopoldo Federico, Victor Lavallen, Amelita Baltar, Osvaldo Berlingeri, and the Astor Piazzolla Quinteto. His musical repertoire extends beyond tango, collaborating with artists like I Musici, Michel Legrand, Milva, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Jake Shimabukuro, and the Brodsky Quartet. Komatsu has recorded over 20 albums, including notable works like "Live in Tokyo – 2002," which received honors from Argentina, and "Tint," co-produced with Taeko Onuki, which won an award at the Japan Record Awards. He is also active in composing music for TV programs and Japanese movies.
Komatsu's recent releases include a variety of albums such as "コラソン・デ・アニソン," "小松JAPAN第弐集 (Selected Edition)," and "ブエノスアイレスの四季," showcasing his versatility and continued contribution to the music scene.
