Internal Bleeding

Internal Bleeding is a pioneering force in the genre of death metal, specifically known for helping to establish the style known as "slam death metal." Originating from Long Island, New York, the band was formed in 1991 by drummer Bill Tolley and guitarist Chris Pervelis. Over the years, they have experienced several lineup changes, but the driving force of their sound has remained consistent, marked by pummeling riffs, complex drum patterns, and guttural vocal styles.

The band's early work, including albums like "Voracious Contempt" (1995), "The Extinction of Benevolence" (1997), and "Driven to Conquer" (1999), helped solidify their reputation within the underground metal scene. They continued to innovate and refine their sound with releases like "Onward to Mecca" (2004) and "Imperium" (2014). Despite the tragic loss of founding member Bill Tolley in 2017, Internal Bleeding continued to forge ahead, unleashing their powerful brand of metal with the 2018 album "Corrupting Influence" and the potent EP "Final Justice." The band's enduring impact is rooted in their relentless pursuit of heaviness and their significant influence on extreme metal's development over the decades.
