Taxi Girls

Taxi Girls is a Montreal-based punk rock quartet formed in 2022, known for their high-energy sound and honest, gritty lyrics. They blend elements of punk, garage rock, and dark synth-pop to create a dynamic and empowering sound, often exploring themes of resilience, feminism, and human rights. The band has quickly built a reputation in the punk scene, sharing stages with well-known acts like NOFX and receiving recognition from Iggy Pop, who featured them on his BBC 6 radio show. Recently, they released the single "Rainy," which showcases their raw emotional edge and punk energy, and they are gearing up for a full-length LP slated for 2025.

This Taxi Girls band is distinct from the French new wave group Taxi Girl active between 1978 and 1986. The newer Montreal quartet stands out with their modern punk attitude and fiercely independent spirit, making a mark in the contemporary punk landscape.
