Born and raised in India, he attended the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) School until 1994. He later moved to the United States in 1996. Phurbu T. His songs often reflect themes of love, unity, and longing for his homeland, Tibet. He is also known for his charitable work through the Om Charity, which he founded to support poor and sick Tibetans in exile.
