Powerman 5000

Powerman 5000 is an American industrial metal band that formed in 1992. They rose to fame with their 1999 release "Tonight the Stars Revolt!" which contained the hit single "When Worlds Collide." The band's sound is a unique fusion of metal, punk, and electronic elements that helped them stand out in the crowded nu-metal scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Powerman 5000 is led by enigmatic frontman Spider One, who is the younger brother of Rob Zombie, and the creative force behind their dystopian, sci-fi-themed aesthetic.

Throughout their career, Powerman 5000 has maintained a dedicated fanbase, continuously evolving while sticking to their core of high-energy industrial rock. They've created a consistently ambitious and cinematic catalogue; from the punk-charged bombast of "Builders Of The Future" to the 80s new wave-infused "New Wave" album and the darkly groovy "The Noble Rot." Although the band's lineup has changed several times, Spider One's vision has kept Powerman 5000 not just surviving, but thriving in the ever-shifting landscape of rock music, impressively standing the test of time. Their ability to re-record old hits like "When Worlds Collide" is testament to both their adaptability and the enduring appeal of their other-worldly rock anthems.
