Barry Douglas is a Northern Irish pianist and conductor. He is best known for his interpretations of the works of Romantic composers such as Schubert, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. Douglas has performed with major orchestras around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also recorded extensively, and his recordings have won numerous awards. In addition to his work as a pianist, Douglas is also a conductor. He has led the Ulster Orchestra, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
