Maria-Paula Majoor

**Maria-Paula Majoor** is a highly accomplished Dutch violinist known for her versatile and dynamic performances. She began playing the violin at the age of five and has maintained a strong connection to the instrument, often describing it as a form of dance. Majoor studied at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. She is not only a skilled violinist but also a dedicated educator, currently serving as a professor of violin at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Zwolle.

Majoor is best known for her work as the primarius of the Matangi Quartet, a position she has held since 1999. Her music spans a range of genres, including classical and chamber music.
