Joan Rovira is a Catalan musician and singer-songwriter born in Camarles in 1982. He began his musical journey playing in dance orchestras in the Terres de l'Ebre region, notably with the legendary 'Junior's' from Amposta. Rovira later graduated in Jazz Saxophone from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and was active in Barcelona's jazz scene, collaborating with various groups and projects. He transitioned to interpreting soulful music, which he calls "música negra," performing in places like Catalonia, the UK, Italy, and Dubai. His debut album, *Peix Sense Espina*, was released in 2015, followed by *Encara tenim temps* in 2017, *Dies Millors* in 2019, and *El meu lloc preferit* in 2023. Rovira is known for his concept of "Festa-Autor," blending festive and personal music styles.
Rovira's career has been marked by several notable achievements, including being named the "artista revelació" at the 2016 Enderrock Awards and winning the award for Best Author Song Album in 2017 for *Encara tenim temps*. His song "Sota el teu balcó" also won an Enderrock Award in 2019. His music often reflects a vibrant and lively approach, combining elements of celebration with more intimate themes.
