Orquesta Filarmónica de Acapulco

The Orquesta Filarmónica de Acapulco (OFA) is a vibrant symphony orchestra based in Acapulco, Mexico, founded in 1998 through the vision of maestro Eduardo Álvarez Ortega with support from the Guerrero state government. Since its debut concert in Atoyac de Álvarez, the OFA has dedicated itself to promoting and celebrating symphonic music across the region, offering a diverse repertoire that blends classical masterpieces with regional cultural expressions. Over the years, the orchestra has become a cultural pillar in Guerrero, releasing numerous recordings that showcase collaborations with distinguished artists and celebrate local musical heritage, such as the "Guerrero en la Filarmónica" series and projects with notable musicians like Horacio Franco.
