Don Pablo's Animals

Don Pablo’s Animals was an Italian instrumental band formed in 1988, best known for their dance-oriented covers of classic hits. Their biggest success came with a disco remix of Shocking Blue’s “Venus,” which reached number 4 on the UK charts in 1990 and peaked at 40 in Germany. After this breakthrough, the project continued to release music with frequently changing lineups, covering a wide range of songs from artists like The Doobie Brothers, Deep Purple, 10cc, Gino Soccio, and Bob Marley, as heard on tracks such as “Long Train Rappin’,” “Magic Fly,” and “Could You Be Loved.” Don Pablo’s Animals remained active with new releases through the late ’90s and early 2000s before fading from the charts.

With their catchy, instrumental dance arrangements, Don Pablo’s Animals became a staple in European dance clubs and compilations throughout the ’90s, leaving behind a discography packed with infectious grooves and recognizable reworks of classic tunes.
