Shiek Mahaboob Subhani

Sheik Mahaboob Subhani is an Indian classical music artist specializing in the nadaswaram, a traditional South Indian wind instrument. Born in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, he comes from a family of musicians; his father and maternal grandfather were also nadaswaram artists. Mahaboob began performing at a young age and initially had to balance his music career with a job as a clerk. He is known for rendering popular Carnatic ragas and kritis on the nadaswaram. Mahaboob often performs alongside his wife, Kaleeshabi Mahaboob, who is also a skilled nadaswaram artist. Together, they have been part of various musical events, including the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana.
