The Seeds were an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Led by the enigmatic singer and songwriter Sky Saxon, the band released a string of classic singles in the late 1960s, including "Pushin' Too Hard," "Can't Seem to Make You Mine," and "Mr. Farmer." Their music was characterized by its fuzzed-out guitars, driving rhythms, and Saxon's distinctive, often-surreal lyrics. Despite their critical acclaim, The Seeds never achieved mainstream success, and they disbanded in 1972. However, their influence on subsequent generations of musicians has been undeniable, and they are considered one of the most important and influential bands of the psychedelic era.
