Evanescence

Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. After a number of lineup changes and an independently released album, Evanescence's major label debut "Fallen" propelled them into the global music spotlight in 2003. The album was a sweeping success, delivering hits like "Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal," and went on to sell more than 17 million copies worldwide. Their sound is characterized by a fusion of gothic nuances, heavy rock, and classical piano, with Lee's powerful and emotive vocals at the forefront.

The band has experienced various lineup changes with Amy Lee remaining as the constant force and creative vision. Over the years, Evanescence has released a series of acclaimed albums, maintaining their position at the nexus of anthemic rock and somber introspection. Their latest offerings include "The Bitter Truth" in 2021, marking their first album of original music in a decade, and a series of remastered tracks that offer a fresh perspective on their enduring hits. Despite industry changes and personal evolution, Evanescence continues to captivate audiences with their dynamic sound and emotionally potent performances.
