Narrows

Narrows is an international hardcore punk band that emerged on the music scene with a powerful and genre-blending sound. Formed in 2007, the band comprises musicians from a variety of notable acts, bringing together the raw energy and experience of members who had previously made their mark in bands such as Botch, These Arms Are Snakes, and Unbroken. Their geographical spread is unique, with members based in Seattle, San Diego, and London, adding to the eclectic dynamic that fuels their music.

With their self-titled debut release in 2008, Narrows introduced themselves with a ferocious blend of hardcore aggression and post-hardcore precision, setting the stage for their intense and unrelenting musical journey. Their next offering came in the form of "New Distances" (2009), which further encompassed their signature aggression while infusing melodic layers and an atmospheric depth that resonated with fans and critics alike. They continued to forge their path with the release of the "Split" EP with Heiress in 2010, showcasing their relentless energy and ability to collaborate with other artists to create something uniquely powerful. The 2012 full-length "Painted" solidified their place in the hardcore scene, delivering a matured sound that was both raw and refined, embodying the ethos of their collective experience. "Split EP," another collaborative release in 2012, this time with Retox, saw Narrows pushing their creative boundaries and cementing their reputation as one of the most compelling and intense bands within the hardcore community. Despite their more sporadic activity in recent years, the impact of Narrows on the heavy music landscape remains evident, as they've left an indelible mark with their blistering sounds and transatlantic unity.
