Martha and the Muffins are a Canadian new wave band formed in Toronto in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Martha Johnson (vocals, guitar), Mark Gane (guitar, vocals), Dave Dermer (bass), and Tim Gane (drums). They are best known for their hit singles "Echo Beach" and "Black Stations/White Stations." Martha and the Muffins have released 10 studio albums, the most recent being "Marthology: The In and Outtakes" in 2022. The band continues to tour and perform, and they remain one of the most influential Canadian new wave bands of all time.
