Jimmy Haslip

Jimmy Haslip is an esteemed American bass guitarist, composer, and producer, best known as a founding member of the pioneering fusion group Yellowjackets. Born on December 31, 1951, in The Bronx, New York, Haslip's career spans over four decades, during which he has established himself as a versatile artist with a deep-rooted influence in jazz, funk, and rock. He started playing the guitar at the age of seven, and by the age of 15, he switched to the bass guitar, which would become his primary instrument.
