Paul Neubauer is a highly respected American violist known for his rich tone and expressive musicality. He rose to prominence as the youngest principal violist in the history of the New York Philharmonic, a position he held in his early twenties. Since then, he has enjoyed a prolific solo and chamber music career, performing with leading orchestras and at major festivals around the world. Neubauer is also a prolific recording artist, celebrated for his interpretations of both classical repertoire and contemporary works, including pieces by Bloch, Bartók, Brahms, and modern composers like Aaron Jay Kernis.
In addition to his performance career, Neubauer is a dedicated teacher and currently serves on the faculties of The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music.
