Mob 47

Formed in the suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden, in 1982, Mob 47 is a band steeped in the fast-paced and raw energy of hardcore punk. Known for their blistering speed and political lyrics, they are one of the cornerstones of the Swedish hardcore scene, often regarded as a counterpart to the American hardcore revolution happening concurrently. Their aggressive sound is characterized by the breakneck tempos and the fierce critique of issues such as nuclear arms, government malfeasance, and social injustice.

With a history that spans over four decades, Mob 47 has undergone several hiatuses and lineup changes, yet they have managed to maintain their relevance and integrity in the punk community. Their most recent projects, including the "Dom Ljuger Igen EP," "Sjuk Värld," and the reissued "Kärnvapen Attack EP," continue to reflect their commitment to the hardcore punk ethos and relentless sound. Despite their vintage, these releases have shown that Mob 47 can still deliver intense, politically-charged music, resonating with both old fans and new listeners within the punk subculture.
