Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes is an American indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst in 1995. The band's music is known for its deeply introspective lyrics and wide-ranging sound, which often incorporates elements of folk, electronica, and country. Bright Eyes is considered a flagship band of the Saddle Creek Records label, which helped to form the music scene in Omaha, Nebraska, where the band originated.

Over the years, Bright Eyes has released a prolific body of work that has received both critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. Their albums such as "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" and "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn," both released on the same day in 2005, are exemplary of their ability to oscillate between acoustic intimacy and electronic experimentation. The band went on hiatus in 2011 but returned in 2020 with their much-anticipated album, "Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was," adding to their legacy with matured soundscapes and reflective storytelling. The depth of their catalog is further evidenced by a series of "Companion" releases, offering new perspectives and deep dives into their previous work. With a passionate following and an indelible impact on the indie music landscape, Bright Eyes continues to be a poignant voice for generational thoughts and feelings.
