Hadda Ouakki is a renowned Moroccan singer, born on January 1, 1953, in Ait Ishaq, a village in the Khénifra Province of the Middle Atlas region. She is celebrated for her contributions to the Tamawayt genre and is often regarded as one of the divas of Amazigh music. Ouakki's journey into music began at a young age, despite facing early challenges, including an arranged marriage at 14. She eventually escaped and began her career in music, initially performing with Bennacer Oukhouya in Zaouiat Cheikh before moving to Casablanca. In 1981, she co-founded her own group with Abdellah Zahraoui, achieving significant fame in Morocco and beyond.
