Yukari Miyake

Yukari Miyake is a renowned Japanese singer and naval officer, celebrated for her role as the vocalist of the Tokyo SDF Band. Born on December 14, 1986, in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, Japan, she is the first and only official vocalist to join the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) as part of its musical endeavors. Miyake is affectionately known as the "Diva of the JMSDF Band" and performs in around 120 concerts annually, boosting morale among troops and promoting the JMSDF through music.

Miyake's musical journey began with a passion for singing, which blossomed during her youth. She is classically trained and has released several albums, including "A Prayer — Songs for the Future," "Hope," and "Sing Japan: Kokoro no Uta". Her music often honors significant events, such as the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, and has touched the hearts of many, including those fighting illnesses and SDF officers. Recently, she participated in the release of the album "Departure — Arata na Funade," highlighting her continued contribution to music.
