Pleymo

Pleymo is a French nu metal band that emerged from the bustling music scene of the late 1990s. The band was founded in 1997 and quickly established itself with their energetic fusion of metal, hip-hop, and electronic elements, spearheading the French "nu" movement alongside peers such as Enhancer and Watcha. Their name, a play on the word 'plasma', reflects their fluid approach to genre boundaries.

Their discography showcases an evolution in sound and complexity, with early work like "Keçkispasse?" revealing the raw energy that characterized the nu metal era. With the release of "Episode 2: Medecine Cake," Pleymo gained international recognition, packing a punch with its assertive lyrics and dynamic riffs. This was followed by the punchy and melodic "Rock" and their ambitious concept album "Alphabet Prison," reflecting their continual growth and maturity as a band. Through intense live performances, captured in releases like "Ce soir c'est grand soir (Live)," Pleymo has consistently connected with fans across the globe, securing their place in the landscape of French alternative music. Despite going on hiatus in the late 2000s, the band's legacy endures, and they've made several reunion appearances, pleasing fans with their undiminished stage presence and raw power.
