Toinho Melodia

Toinho Melodia was a Brazilian samba singer and songwriter born in 1950 in Recife, Pernambuco. He came from a musical family, with his grandmother being an autodidact in gaita, and his family was involved with the Escola de Samba 4 de Outubro. Toinho Melodia passed away on November 11, 2021, in São Paulo. His music reflects his roots in Brazilian culture, and he is remembered for his contributions to samba.
