Cripple Bastards

Cripple Bastards is an Italian grindcore band known for their aggressive sound and socio-political lyrical content. Forming in 1988 in Asti, Piedmont, they were originally the brainchild of vocalist Giulio the Bastard and ex-drummer Alberto the Crippler, from whom the band's distinctive name is derived. Over the years, Cripple Bastards have established themselves as a stalwart in the extreme music scene, channeling the intensity and speed of hardcore punk with the brutality of metal. Their discography is a testament to their unrelenting ethos and includes numerous splits, EPs, and full-length albums that capture their evolution without sacrificing the raw edge for which they are known.

The band's recent work, such as the album "La fine cresce da dentro" and the EP "Senza Impronte," showcases their continued commitment to pushing boundaries within the genre. With consistent themes that rail against complacency, societal ills, and media manipulation, Cripple Bastards' music remains a conduit for unapologetic expression and criticism. Their presence in the grindcore scene is marked by a prolific output and a reputation for fierce live performances, solidified further by releases like "Nero in Metastasi" and "Live to Hate People." The band's lineup has seen changes throughout its existence, but the driving force behind Cripple Bastards continues to be their dedication to producing unyielding and thought-provoking music.
