Ustad Amanat Ali Khan (1922 – 1974) was a Pakistani classical singer and a prominent figure in the Patiala Gharana, a tradition of music known for its rich and powerful style of singing. Born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, British India, he was part of a lineage of distinguished musicians; music ran deep in his blood with his father, Akhtar Hussain Khan, and grandfather, Ali Bakhsh Khan, being noteworthy figures in the world of music. Along with his brother Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, Amanat Ali was heralded for his extraordinary command of classical music, which earned him a highly revered status among connoisseurs of South Asian music.
