Epik High

Epik High is a venerated South Korean alternative hip-hop group known for their poetic lyrics and seamless blending of varied genres, such as rock, electronic, and jazz. Formed in 2003, the trio originally consisted of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, who have collectively pushed the boundaries of Korean hip-hop and have gained a significant following both domestically and internationally. With their complex, thought-provoking verses and eclectic sound, Epik High has been credited with helping to establish a unique space for more introspective and experimental music within the Korean pop scene.

The group's discography is marked by a continuous evolution of style and substance, with albums that explore the depths of human emotion and social commentary. Recent releases such as "Epik High Is Here 上 (Part 1)" and "Epik High Is Here 下 (Part 2)" showcase their maturity as artists, addressing both personal and societal issues with a level of craftsmanship that has become their signature. Despite a brief hiatus and their military service obligations, Epik High has remained a formidable force in music, with their lyrical dexterity and innovative sounds underscored in tracks like "Face ID," "Rain Song," and "Screen Time." With a career that spans two decades, the group has not only contributed a substantial and diverse body of work but has also paved the way for future generations of Korean hip-hop artists.
