Revive was an Australian Christian rock band formed in Sydney in 2001 by singer Dave Hanbury and guitarist Tyler Hall, originally created to write and perform songs for youth groups and ministries. The band expanded to include bassist Rich Thompson and drummer Mike Tenkate, released their debut album *Where I Belong* in 2004, and later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where they worked with Third Day’s Mac Powell to produce their third album *Chorus of the Saints* in 2007. Known for blending heartfelt lyrics with energetic rock, they toured with several Christian rock acts and released their fourth album *Blink* in 2010 before disbanding in 2011 after some lineup changes, including the replacement of Hall by A.J. Cheek.
Throughout their career, Revive earned recognition in the Christian music scene, including a nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 2010 Dove Awards. Their music was influenced by bands like Switchfoot and Steven Curtis Chapman and emphasized themes of faith and perseverance. While their journey was relatively brief, they made a significant impact within the genre, bridging Australian and American Christian rock communities.
