John Fogerty

John Fogerty is a seminal American musician, singer, and songwriter, acclaimed for his distinct voice, formidable guitar work, and poignant songwriting. Born on May 28, 1945, in Berkeley, California, Fogerty rose to prominence as the lead singer, lead guitarist, and principal songwriter for the legendary rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) during the late 1960s and early 1970s. With CCR, Fogerty penned a slew of hits that remain staples in the rock genre, including “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain.”

Following the dissolution of Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1972, Fogerty embarked on a solo career that saw both highs and lows, but he persevered, overcoming legal battles and personal challenges. His 1985 solo album "Centerfield" marked a high point, with the title track becoming an iconic sports anthem. In recent years, Fogerty continues to be an active presence in music, both performing live and releasing new material. His 2020 album "Fogerty's Factory" is a heartfelt family affair that features reimagined versions of his classics alongside his children. His enduring influence on rock and roll and his persistent passion for music make Fogerty an iconic figure whose work continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike.
