Mariana Montenegro

Mariana Montenegro is a Chilean singer, songwriter, keyboardist, DJ, and producer known for her work in electropop and indie pop genres. She first gained recognition as one half of the duo Dënver, which she co-founded in 2004 with Milton Mahan. The duo achieved national and international acclaim, being highlighted in 2011 as part of the new wave of Chilean pop music alongside artists like Javiera Mena and Gepe. After Dënver's split in 2018, Mariana focused on her solo career and DJ work, releasing her debut solo single "Suave" in 2015 and her first solo album "La Mar" in 2020. She is celebrated for her emotive vocals and captivating melodies, with songs that explore themes of self-discovery, love, and resilience.

Mariana's music has resonated widely, accumulating a devoted fanbase thanks to tracks that combine thoughtful lyrics with compelling beats, such as “Me Quiero Solo Otra Vez” and “Musica.” Beyond her music career, she is noted for her involvement in composing for the acclaimed Chilean animated short film "Historia de un oso," which won an Oscar.
