Ioana Iorgu

Ioana Iorgu is an independent music producer, self-taught guitarist, bassist, and drummer. She began her musical journey in Malaysia, where she started performing with her school's rock band in 2014. Her music career has evolved significantly since then, with early releases like the instrumental album "Silent Scream" and the shoegaze-influenced "Fiction." Over time, Ioana has shifted towards post-punk, incorporating dissonant guitar riffs and raw vocals into her work. Her recent albums include "Thick Skin" (2021) and "Mean Time" (2022), showcasing her ability to blend heavy instrumentation with emotional depth. Ioana's music often explores themes of anxiety, grief, and heartbreak, creating an intimate yet intense listening experience.

Ioana Iorgu has performed extensively across the Netherlands and internationally, participating in notable events like Popronde 2023.
