Naeto C

Naeto C, born Naetochukwu Chikwe, is a Nigerian rapper and producer who helped pioneer the Afro-hip-hop sound in the late 2000s. Known for his clever blend of English and Pidgin lyrics over infectious beats, this "scholar rapper" (he holds a biology degree from the University of Washington) became famous for club bangers like "Kini Big Deal" and "5 & 6." His 2011 album *Super C Season* solidified his status, spawning hits that still get parties moving today. Tracks like "Festival" and "Helele" (featuring D'banj) showcase his signature style of mixing street-smart rhymes with Afrobeat rhythms. While newer releases like "Facetime (Remix)" and "China" prove he's kept up with evolving sounds, Naeto C remains best loved for bringing hip-hop swagger to Naija pop culture without losing that authentic Lagos flavor.
