Voice of the Beehive was a British-American alternative pop band formed in the late 1980s, known for their melodic hooks, energetic performances, and a witty, female-fronted perspective. The group was fronted by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland, daughters of The Four Preps singer Bruce Belland. They teamed up with British musicians, creating a distinct blend of jangle pop, punk energy, and catchy pop sensibilities.
Their debut album, Let It Bee (1988), featured hits like "Don't Call Me Baby" and "I Say Nothing" and earned them a strong fanbase in the UK. The follow-up, Honey Lingers (1991), included the popular singles "Monsters and Angels" and a cover of "I Think I Love You." Voice of the Beehive became known for their empowering lyrics and playful style, gaining a loyal following throughout their active years before disbanding in the mid-90s.
