The Amazing Rhythm Aces are a country rock group hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, that garnered fame in the mid-1970s with a sound that blended a variety of genres including country, rock, and pop. Formed in 1972 by singer/songwriter Russell Smith, the band's lineup solidified with the addition of Barry "Byrd" Burton (guitar, Dobro), Jeff Davis (bass), Billy Earheart (keyboards), Jimmy Henderson (guitar), and Butch McDade (drums). They earned critical and commercial success with their debut album "Stacked Deck," which included the Grammy-winning hit single "The End Is Not in Sight (The Cowboy Tune)."

Known for their seamless storytelling and musicianship, the Aces followed up their debut with a string of albums that further solidified their reputation. Records like "Too Stuffed to Jump" and "Burning the Ballroom Down" showcased their knack for catchy melodies and heartland rock influences, capturing the spirit of American roots music.
