Mindjive

Mindjive was a Swedish rock/hardcore/hip-hop band that mixed genres with a funky edge, active from 1992-1997. Formed by Christian Gabel (drums), Tobias Danielsson (vocals), Magnus Zotterman (bass), and Erik Engström (guitar), they released early material like the "Green Grass" EP (1993) and a self-titled EP (1994) through Burning Heart Records. After guitarist Mattias Bärjed replaced Engström in 1995, they dropped their debut album "Chemicals" (1996), featuring the single "Package Design," and drew comparisons to Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine for their genre-blending style. The band called it quits in 1997, leaving behind a small but punchy discography of raw, experimental tracks.
