Drago Diklić is a renowned Croatian jazz musician, composer, and singer, born on November 28, 1937, in Sinj, Croatia. At a young age, he moved to Zagreb, where he grew up and spent most of his life. Diklić's musical journey began early, with a focus on violin and trombone. He became deeply involved in jazz and popular music in the 1950s, performing at numerous venues in Zagreb. In 1958, he embarked on a professional musical career abroad, visiting countries like Germany, France, Morocco, and Sweden. Upon returning to Zagreb, he began composing his own works, which quickly gained popularity. Notable songs from this period include "Još samo večeras" and "Oprosti volim te." Diklić also founded and led several bands, including "Profesionalci" and "Big Band Drage Diklića," and was active in managing the Zagrebfest, a prominent festival in Croatia.
His recent releases include albums such as "Teško Mi Je Zaboravit tSebe," "Two Of A Kind," and "Zagreb Je Najljepši Grad (Live At Lisinski)"—a concert marking his 65 years of work. Additionally, he has released "Swinging And Dancing" and the compilation "Zlatna Kolekcija," showcasing his enduring influence in Croatian jazz and popular music.
