Josh White

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he started out as a "lead boy," guiding blind blues singers through the South in the Jim Crow era, learning directly from legends like Blind Blake. He went on to become a star in his own right, known for his smooth vocals, sophisticated guitar style, and powerful performances that often tackled social issues like racial injustice.
