**Maestoso** was the solo project of Woolly Wolstenholme, best known as a founding member and keyboardist of the British progressive rock band Barclay James Harvest. After leaving BJH in 1979, Wolstenholme launched Maestoso, blending his signature lush, orchestral arrangements with introspective lyrics and a mix of prog-rock and art-rock vibes. Releases like *Scary Places* and *Strange Worlds: a Collection 1980-2010* showcase his knack for dramatic, emotionally charged compositions, while *Uneasy Listening* hints at his experimental edge. Tragically, Wolstenholme passed away in 2010, but his work with Maestoso remains a testament to his unique vision and enduring influence in the prog-rock scene.
