BYU Vocal Point

Brigham Young University's Vocal Point is a dynamic, all-male a cappella group that captures the hearts of listeners with their powerful vocals, innovative arrangements, and high-energy performances. Founded in 1991 by two students, Bob Ahlander and Dave Boyce, the group has since risen to prominence both within and beyond the BYU campus in Provo, Utah. Vocal Point operates under the direction of the university's School of Music and continually refines the art of a cappella performance, often infusing their renditions with their unique, spirited style that resonates with a broad audience.

Vocal Point's repertoire is impressively diverse, covering a range of genres from pop and rock to spiritual and hymn arrangements. Their music has received widespread acclaim, leading them to release numerous albums and to perform extensively across the United States and internationally. Vocal Point also gained national attention as a competitor on NBC's "The Sing-Off" during its second season. With recent releases like the hauntingly beautiful "Nearer, My God, to Thee" and the family-friendly "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's "Encanto," Vocal Point continues to showcase its versatility and appeal to listeners of all ages, leaving a lasting impression with their intricately crafted harmonies and endearing stage presence.
