Samson Tsoy

Samson Tsoy is a highly acclaimed Kazakh pianist born on October 24, 1988, in Kazakhstan. He moved to Russia in 1996 and later trained at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Royal College of Music in London, where he is currently based. Tsoy is known for his originality and "inexhaustible imagination," having performed at prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Wigmore Hall, and Berlin's Konzerthaus. He frequently collaborates with pianist Pavel Kolesnikov, and together they co-founded the Ragged Music Festival in 2019. Tsoy's performances often blend music with other art forms, and he has worked with artists like Richard Serra and choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. His debut album featuring solo works by Brahms is set to be released by Linn Records in early 2025.
