Thursday

Thursday is an American post-hardcore band hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey, well known for their impassioned vocals, intricate guitar work, and poetic lyrics. Formed in 1997, the group quickly became a central figure in the post-hardcore scene with the release of their second album, "Full Collapse," in 2001. This breakthrough record paved the way for their subsequent success, blending emotional intensity with a unique take on melodic hardcore, creating a distinctive sound that resonated with a growing fanbase.

Their 2003 follow-up, "War All The Time," further cemented their status, featuring anthemic tracks that were both politically charged and deeply personal. Thursday's music frequently tackled themes of love, loss, and social commentary, resonating with a generation facing the uncertainties of the new millennium. Over the years, the band's lineup centered around lead vocalist Geoff Rickly while fluctuating around key members including guitarists Tom Keeley and Steve Pedulla, bassist Tim Payne, drummer Tucker Rule, and keyboardist Andrew Everding. Following "A City By The Light Divided" (2006) and "Common Existence" (2009), the group offered "No Devolución" in 2011, an album noted for its experimental approach and sonic expansion before eventually parting ways. Though they've experienced disbandment and reunions, their impact on the emo and post-hardcore scene remains indelible, influencing countless acts that followed.
