Alexander Goedicke was a Russian composer and pianist who lived from 1877 to 1957. He made a name for himself in the late Romantic and early modern periods of classical music. Goedicke was known for his work as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory, where he taught for many years. His compositions include pieces for piano, as well as chamber music and orchestral works. One of his more well-known pieces is the Concert Étude, which is still performed and recorded by pianists today.
