The frozen Autumn

The Frozen Autumn is an Italian darkwave/coldwave duo formed in 1993 by Diego Merletto and Arianna (known as Froxeanne). Hailing from Turin, they became pioneers of the European darkwave scene, blending haunting synth melodies, introspective lyrics, and Froxeanne's signature ethereal vocals. Their sound pays homage to 1980s post-punk and electronic acts while maintaining a distinctly modern frosty atmosphere, earning them nicknames like "the winter gardeners of melancholic pop."

Active for over three decades, they've released albums like *Chirality* (2017) and *Emotional Screening Device* (2020), showcasing their evolution from raw analog experiments to polished, emotionally layered compositions. Known for tracks like *Is Anybody There?* and *Lie In Wait*, they continue to tour internationally, enchanting audiences with their brooding yet danceable live performances.
